What is CPR?
The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) provides a harmonized framework for assessing and declaring the performance of construction products across Europe.

Scope
CPR focuses on the reaction-to-fire characteristics of cables installed in buildings and infrastructure projects.

Euroclass System
The Euroclass system ranges from Aca to Fca.

Additional Performance Criteria
Smoke production (s), flaming droplets (d) and acidity/corrosive gas release (a) provide further performance differentiation.

EN 50575 and DoP
Manufacturers must issue a Declaration of Performance (DoP) and apply CE marking in accordance with the declared fire classification.

Engineering Considerations
Selecting the appropriate CPR classification directly affects life safety and asset protection.

Reaction to Fire Classes and Test Methods
Cable fire performance is evaluated through the Euroclass classification system.

Flame propagation shall not exceed 425 mm.
